Daniel Lozoya is a Licensed Certified Social Worker–Clinical (LCSW-C) and trauma-informed psychotherapist who provides a warm, affirming, and nonjudgmental space where clients can feel comfortable being themselves while navigating life's challenges.
He supports individuals experiencing trauma, anxiety, depression, bipolar disorder, substance use concerns, relationship difficulties, and everyday stressors that can feel overwhelming or exhausting.
As a cisgender gay male, Daniel is especially passionate about providing affirming care to individuals within the BIPOC and LGBTQIA+ communities. He recognizes the impact of minority stress, identity-related trauma, and systemic barriers and strives to create a therapeutic environment where clients do not have to explain or defend who they are.
His approach is collaborative, attachment-informed, and grounded in safety, trust, cultural humility, and respect.
Daniel brings over a decade of experience across community mental health, collaborative care, crisis support, and outpatient psychotherapy. He has worked with children, adolescents, and adults experiencing complex trauma, mood disorders, substance use challenges, and severe mental illness. His professional background includes Medicaid-funded community programs, specialty courts, integrated primary care, and private practice.
This broad experience allows him to support clients working through both longstanding emotional wounds and present-day challenges that affect their relationships, functioning, and overall well-being.
Daniel is trained in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), an evidence-based psychotherapy approach that helps individuals process distressing experiences that continue to affect their present lives.
He also integrates Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) skills, Motivational Interviewing, and other trauma-informed interventions to strengthen emotional regulation, develop practical coping strategies, and support meaningful behavioral change.
For clients who are not ready or interested in intensive trauma processing, Daniel incorporates stabilization and EMDR-informed interventions, including EMD and ASSYST, when clinically appropriate, to address acute stress and emotional overwhelm at a pace that respects each client's needs.
Fluent in English and Spanish, Daniel provides culturally responsive psychotherapy and welcomes clients who feel more comfortable receiving care in their preferred language.

Daniel believes that meaningful healing occurs when people feel heard, respected, empowered, and accepted. His goal is to help clients build insight, develop healthier patterns, reconnect with their strengths, and move toward lives that feel more authentic and fulfilling.
